My Car Won't Crank

Gleneda, if your car isn't turning over, (meaning the engine won't spin) changing out the fuel pump was the wrong choice. That has nothing to do with the engine turning over. But since we now know that you have plenty of fuel, that will help. If your car will not crank, what you should be looking at is a bad battery, loose connections, corrosion of the cables, ignition switch. The first thing to do is charge your battery overnight with a charger. In the morning, put a volt meter on the battery and see if it reads 12 volts. If so, you know your battery is fully charged. If you turn the ignition and get nothing, the next step is to jack up the car, locate the starter, have someone hold the key to the ON position like they're starting the car. As they hold the key, you want to rap the starter with a hammer. If the car suddenly turns over, you have a bad starter that needs replacement. From reading your description, it sounds like your engine is turning over, but it's not firing up. As in the engine cranks over repeatedly, but it's not starting. You also state that the fuel pump is not getting any power. Do you have an alarm system? if you have any flashing lights on the dash, most likely the alarm system has disabled your fuel pump. Toyota Camry 2003.. the car cranks up great when it’s cold.. problem is after the car has been running for a while an the temperature gauge is at its normal position.. I stop at store or anywhere turn car off wait a few minutes go try to crank car and the car want crank up it’s trying to but doesn’t just sits there turning over an turning over .. like no gas getting there
