Transmission will not shift into drive it will go into reverse and park

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I can shift my 2000 Camry into reverse… But
it will not shift into drive in any year… The shift
cable is working fine… The fluid is full… What
do you think it is

With engine off and hood up, disconnect shifter cable from tranny shifter arm. Try moving arm thru all gears. If you can, shifter cable is the problem. If not, tranny will need attention. Make sure shifter arm didn't loosen and reposition itself.

atf level should be in the correct level. Change the atf and the filter. Dialysis should do it. If not all the case. Transmission problem.
