my twin radiator fans do not operate. how do i troubleshoot?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

replaced radiator thinking overheating was that problem. after 1 mile of travel engine overheats and fans are not turning. NOTE: A/C not working since last summer (2016), has not been an issue with overheating.

Check the outside surfaces of the radiator. Do you see a sensor or switch with 2 wires coming out of it? Disconnect that 2 wire connector....do the fans now run?

Ok.....I suspect that switch or sensor that is threaded into the radiator is faulty. I suggest you go to your favorite auto parts store and show them that switch/sensor. They should be able to ID it for you. Or...have your Auto Tech replace it. Get back to us with results.
