My 98 camry has reverse but no forward gears. I replaced shifting selenoid 3. But I still don't have forward gears.

Any warning lights on or flashing when the engine is running? Pull the Tranny Dip Stick. What does the fluid smell like. Is the Trans Fluid up to the full mark?

I changed #3 selenoid. And engine light went out. Trans fluid is good and No Burn smell. Still no forward gears.

Do you have the availability of a scan tool? There must be codes in the transmission computer?
