Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The turn signals on my 1998 camry function properly when the headlights are
off. When the headlights are on, the driver side turn signal blinks fast. The
passenger side function properly with the head lights on or off. The four turn
signal bulbs light up.

Take a look in the trunk....left side....driver side Hinge area. You should be able to find a wiring harness. Shorts and open circuits are a problem in this harness on some Toyota models. Turn your lights on and wiggle and gently tug on this harness. Any changes with how these lights function?

I found only one of the light elements on the drivers side front park/blinker worked. Taking the bulb out I found a white substance on one of the contact on the base shorting the contact to the base common. Wiped the substance off and now the blinker works!!!! 10 min fix after reading the above conversations. Thanks Cargurus!!!!
