Sell or Keep?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would appreciate feedback because I'm
not sure what to do. I have 188K miles on it
and I am the original owner. Have kept it up
well. The timing belt was replaced 4 years
ago. Had it painted at Maaco for $2200. last
year and looks brand new,  Psng. power seat
switch replaced $160. Last month oil
leaking needed seals etc. $1300. Now
power steering leaking, est. is $3200. He
said I could just continue to add PS fluid
when needed but honestly, I'm not interested
in doing that. Love my highly rated
mechanic at Toyworxs. Can't really afford a
new car but will if I must. Leather seats are
great and everything else works great. I
always thought it would continue for 300K
miles??  Opinion please? Keep or sell?

If you're paying a mechanic to work on the car then sell it , you may as well get a new one for the $$ you'll spend . If $$ ain't an object then keep it , I like older cars

Who is charging you $3,200 for a power steering leak? You need to find an honest mechanic.

They will be replacing the power steering pump, the PS Rack n Pinion, Both hoses high and low pressure. Does this make more sense F_O_R?

Get another price, the one you have is crazy high! I would live with it until the leak gets really bad unless I could have it fixed for a reasonable price. Just for laughs go to an auto parts store and price out the parts!!
