car wont start but does crank

about a week before my problem with car not starting it seemed like it was
hesitating/stalling periodically while on the road driving. I had just come
home from taking my parents home and pulled into my parking lot to pick up
my daughter for basketball practice I shut off car for less then 10 minutes
and then nothing. It cranks when turn key over just wont start. I tried jumping
it and still nothing. My battery is new and both my starter and alternator are
good as well.
