Headgasket? 93 Camry Xle V6

My car overheated and now it cranks but
won't fire. Checked oil and didn't notice any
water. Haven't checked the compression in
the cylinders yet. I'm wondering if the
computer "tripped" something when it got
hot. And where to start checking. Thanks

Well start by checking for spark, if there is spark then do a compression test.

Have you determined WHY the engine overheated? What ...when....where....when your vehicle over heated?
The water pump had a leak. I noticed that it was getting hot, gauge was about 3/4 to the top. I pulled over and with the car running I topped off the radiator. Temperature dropped, about 30 minutes later I tried to start the car but had no luck.

OK...so we have a vehicle that cranks over well...but...will not fire up. I really cannot see a direct connection between a overheat condition and a no start. There is a way to pull computer codes with and without a Scan Tool. As noted above....checking for spark and compression sounds like a good way to go. Checking fuel delivery/pressure/fuel filter should also be included. Checking injector PULSES will require a "Noid" test light which can be purchased at any Auto Parts Store.
