Knock Sensor on 2002 Toyota Avalon XLS

I have a 2002 Toyota Avalon XLS. The engine light for the knock sensor came
on a few months ago and I've been putting it off because I took it to the shop
and they wanted over $1300 to do both knock sensors and the harness. I have
been looking into getting the parts and doing it myself but can't find any how
to videos on my exact car. I have found two different videos that say different
things on how to fix my car. One said I can jack it up and go from underneath
because it is in the back on the bottom on the engine but the other said I need
to basically take apart my engine from the top. I really just want to know where
the knock sensors and wires are located, if I need to jack it up or take it apart.

it's under the intake, just google knock sensor location and videos will show up,

Fairly simple job, just a lot of stuff to get out of the way. You will need to get intake gaskets and Plenum gasket. Also you need to get the knocks sensor wiring harness, and at least three iridium spark plugs for the back of the motor as they are under the intake also. Rock auto.com has knock sensors for really good cost, the Denzo brand is closest to OEM. Just make sure to clean all your surface is really well before putting the new gaskets back on, a really fine polishing sandpaper and carburetor cleaner will do the trick.
