how do you get to the ignition switch in 2006 malibu

how do you remove the ignition switch, I have dash all apart but the switch seems to be connected to the plastic dash panel.

Good question. It is interesting that the range of years included with the GM recall on faulty ignition switches ended in 2005. :/

Well, I got it out and replaced it, but it still won't start.Cranks smoothly but will n ot start.Fuel pressure is good and I'm getting spark.It ran fine 2 days ago and next morning,nothing but crank.
