94 svx trans can I swap the fwd end housing to a awd trans

My sons trans is done in! front wheel drive we have a all wheel drive trans in good shape is it possible to remove the rear transfer case of the awd unit...... my alldata program calls it that!....and put the rear cover of the fwd unit on that case Im a 25 year Autotech any help will be great thanks!!!!

Just make it an AWD it'll be safer and raise the value.

thanks but unless you have the whole rear assembly in your back pocket and the driveshaft hidden someplace else and have it all in jax fla for free thats not going to help at all !!! i need a trans builder or some one that knows these tranys to throw out some info before i rebuild the original trans that takes 18 hrs to repair if you have done one of these please post here thanks
