Can I swap my 2006 2.5 subaru motor into my 2000
outback to replace the 2.5 that's blown

I doubt it. Your 2000 probably has a twin cam engine and the 2006 is most likely a SOHC. Besides that there are 6 years difference which is not good for swaps.
