2006 chev 1 ton van tail lights flash as hazards when you turn the left or right blinkers on?

You've probably got a shorted out connector or corroded bulb socket- and it's at one of the multi-filament sockets and it's feeding power to the flasher circuit from the socket itself. I've seen some that do this when the wrong type bulb is installed- sometimes the replacements LOOK right, but aren't.
