Brights turn on when I signal 2006 chevy equinox

When I signal in my equinox the brights started
coming on it was slow at first on flashing when I
first signalled then they started staying on when I
was signaling. I replaced the multipurpose switch
and for a while everything was fine then the same
thing happened again slowly it went from flashing
to now my brights are stuck on unless I unplug the
switch. If I wiggle the wires coming from the signal
arm itself I can get the brights to turn off. Is it
possible I had two faulty parts or is it a different
issue?
