Subaru wheels for 2005 Legacy wagon

Will 16" wheels from a Subaru Legacy sedan fit a Subaru Legacy Wagon? The
original wheels on the wagon were 17" but I would prefer to replace them with
16".

Of course that makes sense. I asked because the available wheels are located over an hour's drive away and I was trying to save a possibly futile trip I did that when I found a set of 16" from an Impreza. They did not fit and now I have to find someone else to buy them. Since I have seen Outbacks and Legacys with 16" I was hoping they might fit. The Legacy Wagon GT comes with 17" wheels and low profile tires, and it does not ride very well, and I live in a rural area where I sometimes need to use back roads. I was hoping to find 16" to help with that issue.
