Battery running down due to head lights staying on

The multipurpose switch is out leaving the headlights on and running battery down

Yea My brothers is too, I keep telling him to buy another switch and I will put it in for him but he disconnected it under the hood and when dark he connects it back up and then disconnects when done driving, only takes him a few seconds but I have not carefully watched which wire it is he disconnects other than he lifts the hood about half way stick his arm under it and in a second the lights go off. I would just replace it.
