Hey guys I have a 1999 Subaru legacy gt
It has a blown head gasket and a lot of people say
,that Moter is known to do that so I need to know.
What would be an easy swap , no turbo just a good
strong Moter, that can get up and go

Use a motor that is the same as yours. A used motor with a warranty would probably be my choice unless the car is super clean and low miles. The head gasket issue is epidemic in Subarus.

1995-1999 Legs are too old in the tooth to suggest expensive repair. You're better off putting that $1.5k toward a newer one.
