Warning before timing belt breaks?

Asked by GuruS9SGZ May 09, 2019 at 10:00 PM about the 1999 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought a 1999 Subaru Impreza with
121,000 miles. Runs great, minimal oil leak.
Will there be any warning signs before the
timing belt breaks?

1 Answer

No. If it has not been replaced you need to do it immediately. Look for a sticker on the engine.
