Pontiac Grand Prix GTP tire /rim swap questions

Asked by Blair Aug 05, 2020 at 08:00 PM about the 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP

Question type: General

Hello

I have several original rims on a 2004 Pontiac grand Prix GTP  that I put new tires on. P225/55R17 97V

Unfortunately, the rim edges are chipped and cracked and the new tires flatten within hours of filling.

I've found some junkyard rims from a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix that have a similar look, but the tires are P225/60R16 97T.

Can I use the junk yard 2002 rims with my new tires?

Thanks for helping out a newbie

The rims will interchange for the cars but the tires will not interchange between the rims. Your 04 are 17 inch rims and your 02 are 16 inch rims.
