Need more information. Like: cranks won't run or doesn't crank or make a clicking sound, etc.
That twenty-year-old Pontiac is a car that no one should own. Sell it to a scrap yard and go shopping for a replacement. That might sound harsh, but it's the best advice you're going to get. You could get a nice Toyota Camry or Honda Accord the same age and it should last you an added 150,000 miles.
