Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When pulling out cv axle to replace, cv axle assembly came with it. Do that

CV axles are sold as complete assemblies, from the wheel spindle to the cup unit that slides into the spider gears in the differential. so I’m not sure what you mean.

Can you post a picture to help us understand your question? The drive axle is one piece with two CV (constant velocity) joints. If the CV joint came apart when you removed the axle, that's fine. Just install the new axle. I hope your not rebuilding the original axle. That's way too much trouble when replacement axle assemblies are readily available. Hope that helps! Jim
