Throttle position sensor

I had to change my throttle position sensor I put a
new one in and now my car will not stay started it
will turn over start for like 3 seconds and turn right
back off

It's need to be programmed to open at 7 degrees aprox. Or make the RPM between 650 and 750 My recommendations go to a mechanic whom program it. Ok Now there are some GM vehicles that can reprogram it self while driving.
