Will a '97 3100 motor swap for a 2005 3400?

Asked by 97Monte Mar 30, 2016 at 11:24 AM about the 2005 Pontiac Grand Am SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a rebuilt 3100 from a '97 Monte Carlo with only 20K miles. I found a 2005 Grand Am (3400) with a blown head gasket. Will I be able to swap the 3100 for the 3400... plug-n-play? What issues might I run into?
