Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my cruise control on my car isn't working. when i got the car the buttons
were broken but still working the glowing running lights work but when I push
the on off switch at going over 30 MPH. the light on the button doesn't come
on nor on the dash. i have checked the cruise release switch on the brake
pedal but it works. I think it might be either the CCM (Cruise Control Module)
or the buttons but i'm not sure.

Check your third brake light. On some GMs if the third brake light bulb burns out the cruise control is disabled. Hope that helps! Jim

You're welcome. Glad to help. It sounds strange, I know, but my 93 Caprice was like that and I've heard that other GMs are like that too. Jim

oh it was also involved with a "head on" collision on the drivers side wheel, I think it could be the hub assembly speed/ABS sensor. it crunched the fender in bent the control arm and rack n pinyon, replaced the control arm and bent back the pinyon.(Didn't have the money to replace it at the time lol) but the ABS light isn't on and ABS works fine

Its not that important to get it working just kinda a side project. I'm actually working on restoring a 97 ford f150 pickup, but I'm just trying to get an idea on what it might be because its my daily driver.
