Service engine soon?

I have replaced the plugs n done a oil change. Then I
disconnect the battery but the light is still on

You can turn the light off after the oil change by turnng the key to "On" (don't start the engine) and depressing the gas pedal three times. You can also press the red button once to get the light to flash and then hold it down until you hear the chime.

Visit your local auto parts store and have them scan the computer for trouble codes. Post the codes you get and we can help further. The service engine soon light is the same thing as a check engine light. Hope that helps! Jim

Getting the codes read is the way to go. A CES light only tells you that a service item is needed but is not specific to tell you what is triggering it. You must know what code is triggering the light.
