Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was driving my Pontiac Grand Am GT when i heard this loud knocking sound
coming from the front of my car, I noticed a difference in the power also it felt
like i lost 50 horsepower and the noise got louder and louder i just spent
$2500 on the car and don't know what is wrong i was thinking at first it was a
bad spark plug but if it isn't i don't know what else it could be

Is the noise happening when you drive or just when the engine is running but the car is stopped? Knocking from the bottom of the engine (car not moving) could be the main engine bearings. You should get it looked at ASAP. If it is the engine bearings, the engine may need to be rebuilt or replaced.

Car is knocking loud but fluids are good and no check lights are on and no leaks or smoking
