Overheating need help

Asked by Badboy13805 Oct 26, 2016 at 07:57 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am GT

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2002 Pontiac gt. I had problems with
overheating. My water pump went out so I replaced
it and it worked fine. Now it's starting to over heat
crazy . But the water pump is stillgood . I'm
guessing the thermostat or something is clogged.
Couple weeks ago my passenger floor was wet
and was leaking from the bottom but all of sudden
it stopped and no leaks. Just over heats and I don't
know what the problem is .

Sounds like the heater core is cracked and all your coolent is what leaked on the floor. Check your coolent reservoir to see if it's empty. If so that's probably your issue
