GRAND AM FOG LIGHT STAYS ON

Asked by mtsdusty Mar 30, 2016 at 02:32 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Grand Am SE1 Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

GRAND AM 2002 lower FOG LIGHTS stays on when the car is turned off.
Will stay on till it drains the battery.

I thought it was the switch, replaced and did not work.

Then tried finding exposed crossed wires, it was not it.
Had to unplug it, but now  "service light" stays on.

Electrician ran the code and it is related to the fog light, he could not come
up with a solution nor reset the "service light".

Any ideas?

Thanks

Unplug fog light relay or change with another relay under hood since gm uses same relay for the accessories and see if that fixed it if so u need a relay
