2000 Grand AM Stalling Problems

Asked by stacymc1972 Jun 15, 2014 at 01:09 PM about the 2000 Pontiac Grand Am SE

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a: 2000 Pontiac Grand Am 2.4L, 4 cyl.

It starts and drives fine for the first hour or so, then the TRAC OFF light will come on
and the car will stall at lights and while going to park or reverse (w/fuel smell inside the
car).

I have already replaced the crankshaft position sensor and idle sensor. Took in for
diagnostics but nothing came up except for a history code: P0341B (camshaft
positioning sensor). The technician took it out for a 2-mile test drive and wasn't able to
replicate what I experience when out driving around town for awhile.

Any ideas? Thanks:)

Just for giggles have you checked your battery connections? If they are loose or dirty they may cause this sort of issue.
