Why wont my car stay started?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have replaced throttle censor and coil Pac
I have spark! And fuel pump works just fine
it starts for 3seconds and then shuts off.

Will it stay running if you hold light pressure on gas pedal? If so possibly dirty/faulty idle air control valve or dirty throttle plate.

It could be a hand full of different. Things bad sensor or the security in those cars have had bad problems too

have you ever changed the fuel filter? if not i would do that and possibly carry a rubber mallet with me incase it dies again u just need to hit the center of the gas tank and start car. i had the same problem. also ask the mechanics what parts mimic the TPS switch i also had that problem, i cant remember off the top of my head what it was calld but check on that. good luck

check fuel filter, alternator, battery, TPS (Throttle Position Switch) or MAP Sensor (MAP/Barometric Pressure Circuit Range/Performance Problem)
