I need to know where the ground wires are to the
Rpm hand on a 98 Grand am Se

I suspect that the tach gets its ground from a buss on the flexible circuit board that it attaches to. That buss runs around the board and provides a ground to all devices attached to the board. The board then is attached via an edge connector to a ground lead in the harness connecting it to the car electronics.
