I changed the spark plugs in my Montero and now it runs funny

the motor runs but it is sluggish off the line then does ok once it shift into higher gears.
it idols fine when I first start it but doesn't idol well once it has been driven a little while

First I gotta tell ya i'm no expert, but sounds to me like it may be misfiring, did you change the wires too? And how about the gap on the plugs, did you gap them, if not are they pre-gapped?
