FRONT PASSENGER POWER SEAT WILL NOT MOVE FORWARD OR REVERSE ON TRACK

Asked by jslacy63 Mar 11, 2015 at 10:41 AM about the 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis 4 Dr LS Sedan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I purchased a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis LS two days ago. When pressing
forward/back switch for the front passenger seat (power only) it does nothing. No motor
sound, no movement. Tilt and raise switches work fine. Lumbar on seat itself works fine.
Could this be a loose wire on the harness or maybe a certain fuse for this feature? I look
forward to hearing back from you.....Jennifer

tennisshoes is dead on right as usual. I was thinking fuse, but if the fuse was blown your power windows and mirrors would also be out. But since I found it, it's fuse #8 in cabin fuse box...click to size up... you can download you owners manual and Page 176@ http://www.manuals365.com/download/mercury/grand_marquis_owners_manual_1997.html
