AC problem on my Lincoln town car 2003

My problem is on the AC when you are stop
the car is freezing but when you go like 60
miles the AC stop cooling no completely off
but you can feel is not cooling the same
when is stop I replace the high pressure valve
on top of the dryer and the expansion valve
and a flush line and still do the same thing
the compressor stop and start normal the fan
is working good I really don’t know wat
happens to this car please I need a big help
on this thanks

I think that Jim could be right on target but, I am wondering did you replace the dryer and pull a vacuum on the system to remove all the moisture from the system before recharging?? I f you did not you could have a small amount of moisture in the system that will freeze in the expansion valve when operating stopping all flow of refrigerant. This will stop all cooling until the clog melts then work a while then stop again when it freezes again and so forth...Good Luck...Mark
