Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 1998 Lincoln Towncar,
the brake lights don't work , bulbs
are good fuses are good , already
replace brake pedal switch still
doesn't work . The third brake
light works . When I turn on
flashers only one front light
flashes , thats the drivers front
signal light , but when I turn on
signals all work . Why is the brake
lights not working ? Does it have
anything to do with the hazard
switch or turn signal switch ?

I'm thinking it's the turn signal switch. The outboard brake lights are wired through the turn signal switch, but the third brake light is not. That would explain why the front signals work but the back ones don't too. Hope that helps! Jim
