I got a trouble code p1299

The other day I had to change my crankshaft pulley and I
took off the fan and the overflow tank but I spilled alot of
coolant out and forgot to replace it well this morning my
car started to overheat and the check engine light came
on so I went to Auto zone got fluid put it in and it went
down a bit but still was a little hot just wondering should i
worry about this or will it correct it self once i let the car
cool down
