How do you bleed the air-pockets from the heating system? My 1997 Audi A4 hardly warms at all.
The heating system doesn't work.
the bleeder valve is located on the v6 model just down driver side of the power steering pump it is a little hex bolt that may be hard to open on a aluminum hose you have to bleed it while the car is running, also note you may need to bring the car to higher rpms to therouly bleed the system properly
1. Loosen the bleed valve under the coolant reservoir. It may be necessary to release the reservoir and move it aside to access the bleeder, leaving the coolant hoses attached to the reservoir. 2.Top off the coolant until no air bubbles are released from the bleeder, and then tighten it to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm). 3.Loosen the bleed valve on the front coolant line, located between the power steering pump and the left side of the cylinder head. 4.Top off the coolant until no air bubbles are released from the bleeder, and then tighten it to 15 ft. lbs. (20 Nm).
It is most likely a clogged heat core. There are two hoses going to the heat core located to the right of the battery. Try to take those out and to somehow fit a garden hose to the core. Let the water run. Change direction. It should unclog in a couple minutes.
