my trunk wont open with battery in it

Here's a potential solution I found: You could connect a battery or charger to the positive terminal on the alternator, and the negative to the frame of the alternator. I think there is also a positive junction block in that area as well.

Here's the simple method to open the trunk plug into the power port / cigarette lighter with 9volt battery saver press the trunk button open.

i would get a cigarette lighter plug and attach 3 20 watt 8 ohm resistors inline to the wire from the plug in parallel so you have a 2. 6 oh 60 watt resistor then hook the other end up some jumper cables this will give you a primitive battery charger just enough to work the trunk release without the resistors you risk a short circuit and this will blow a fuse disabling this method from working in some cases this will take anywhere from a few minutes to half an hour to work as all the power might get sucked up by the dead battery or it might work instantly if the battery has been dead for a long time or is just slightly weak it will work instantly for different reasons either the battery will not take a charge and all power is present for use or the battery is only taking half of the power and it only needs a boost you could use 4 resistors in theory should not be a problem in rare circumstances it could blow the fuse based how exact they make the part and if a completly flat battery was able to take a charge but lets say the bottom line is anything bellow 6 volts is not gonna take a charge then you might be able to pull it off with 4 resistors my advice use 3
