Jeep Grand Cherokee 2005 ,replaced radiator,thermostat,now engine will not work at all.Mechanic said I need a new engine, engine working untill all the work.What should I do.

The Jeep stopped running while going down the road . Had to have it toed home. Tried numerous thing but will not start. Mechanic said the engine probably needed replacing.

Yes,from over heating it caused engine damage,the water pump should have been replaced along with the other stuff you did replace,that was your heating up issue,

When you say will not start do you mean will not crank over or turns over but will not start ?
