Fan runs at a high rpm but the motor does not when sitting in park

My Jeep Grand Cherokee has 294,000 mls on her. when i go to crank it up it
sounds like it's not gonna crank but does after a few slow rrraa rrr vooom ok
it's cranked, after the Jeep is warmed up when i stop and put car in park the
fans make the carr sound like it's idleing really high but the rpm's are where
they should be it's just the fans not the motor thats idled high? whats the
matter with it?

You probably have electric fans that run independently from the car's motor and are not driven by a belt tied to the RPMs of the car,
