My tail lights won't come on

I have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and I
can't get both sides of my tail lights to work.
Changed one bulb on both sides want to know do I
need to change both??? My brake lights work just
the tail lights are out. I also don't know how to
check the fuses or even know which fuse is for the
tail lights please somebody help me!!!!!
