Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Jeep starts in the morning when cool, after
that if i shut it off and try to to restart it ,
nothing happens. I have checked battery,
starter fuse, ignition switch,  starter and
solenoid.  All good. Could trans sensors
have anything to do with it . How do I check
to see if that is the problem.

I often suspect that crankshaft position sensor on this engine. They shut off when hot then restart when cooled down, just before they quit altogether. Scan for codes and this sensor shows 0320 when failing. Also this Jeep will self diagnose by turning the key Off to On three times, but do not start the engine. Leave the key On and watch for codes(s) at the odometer display. It will show "done" when it's done displaying codes. After the repair, clear the code by disconnecting battery ten minutes, see if it now runs, then watch for codes or check engine lights. Good Luck.
