Need some advice on the potential purchase of a Jeep

I found a nice Jeep Grand Cherokee to buy near me. The seller said the only
issues are the check engine light, which was caused by something in the
EVAP system, and some rattling from underneath the car.The car is in good
condition, has only 118k miles, and is a 2001. I just want to get an idea of how
much I might need to pay to fix these issues. Thanks!

Have a Pre purchase inspection done at a JEEP dealer..$200 see if they find a $1000 dollars of necessary work that needs to be done? Then negotiate or Walk Away. Regards
