What could cause for it to take its 2nd try to get the car started ?

We have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 2001. We had to replace
a fuel pump and filter after doing that, it would great for 2-3
weeks and all of sudden on the 1st try it sounds as its trying to
start but it wont so when you give it a second try it comes right
on with no problems , what could cause this ???? Please help with
any information its much needed at this time ! Thank you

i would add a bottle of ZMAX fuel treatment to 1/ 2 tank of gas and change thouse spark plugs...really

I myself would make there is proper spark and the timing is good and check vacuum lines for leaks. You also might have another fuel filter that's clogged. Look along the fuel lines coming from the throttle body. If you follow the lines and see a clear glass or plastic piece connected that would be the second filter.
