Hey jeep Dr ...got a 99 jeep GCL with the 4.7
v8 it just quit while driveing check engine
light started flashing then it shook and
died.when I Tryd to turn it over again bang
bang bang in the top ......it will start again
but sounds like its on 2 cylinders shakes
real bad then dies. I'm thinking time jump???

Sounds serious to me and may require a replacement engine. Knocking and banging is not good. It is possible that it blew a spark plug out and you might check that first.
