Some Jeep models had a circuit board problem that woul cause the electrical to malfunction. The board would get warped from the elements. The board is about $200.00 Any Jeep dealer or Auto shop can plug into your jeep and check the "error codes" to see if that's what is coming up.

Take it down to your local big box auto store e.g. Autozone and have them check the charging system! They will do it for free! This will check the Alternator/voltage regulator to determine if its the Charging system. They will also check the battery while it is under " load" cranking to determine if a cell went bad! Also your Jeep has an OBD CONNECTOR On Board Diagnostic connector In other words! They will help you connect it to your Jeep (usually under the dash close to the steering column) and see what codes it finds! And it will be FREE FREE FREE, Now you looked at battery, charging system, and computer codes! Before shelling out for parts! They do this to get your business! One last note! I went to O'Reilly and their printout of the possible error codes gave a ranking from the easiest to most (expensive ) hardest solution. Always do the easiest and cheapest first! Naturally! Hope this helps!
