2005 yukon

Asked by Wolves81 Jul 07, 2016 at 04:30 PM about the 2005 GMC Yukon XL 1500 Fleet 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2005  Yukon, having issues with the
battery light staying on along with the stero, after
the doors are open. We hooked up a new cluster
not the problem, put a new ignition switch in, not a
problem with that neither. What else can be wrong
with it?

So the battery light IS on? If this is the case, it may be your alternator, if the truck is running while the battery light us on. If the truck isn't on when the light comes on, it's your battery. Most batteries only last about 3-4 years.
