Maybe if you let the mechanics pull the bed to do their repairs, the body shop can discount the labor for that from your estimate. You don't really have much choice, if you want it driveable to the body shop. Otherwise you're towing it there and back again.

I thank you all for the answers and they are all doable and yes it is my uninsured insurance company that is being mean and saying a truck I purchased for 10500 in very good condition is only worth 6100 so at this point I'm paying for what they will not.. it makes sence to have the body shop pull box/bed as they have to for repairs and I can try a new fuel pump than, insurance will not let you pick and choose whom does what... crazy I can't even find out whom hit me because of privacy laws... I just know he is going to jail for a year. thank you I still have this feeling it is something in the pass code security... as it ran for a good 10 minutes after we came to a stop 200 from where I was hit...and all checks out expect no fuel.. no error codes either... and no security light flashing however, very strange... should not be that difficult.. I have installed ungo alarms before and we use the vats/pass system for aftermarket but I have not installed on this truck as it was only 10days mine when hit and 75 miles more than purchase.. we do in Wa. have diminished value which I may be able to recoupe some of the money...but I guess just pay the tow truck again and hope the they figure it out, as I have no cars as the second accident got my car, air bag got me... It that few days of owning it had been cleaned under and coated, new wheels and tires 2k. Canopy ordered... and grizzly bar... running boards. as I had been saving for a long time... I'm sorry I didn't insure for a stated value.. I will next time.. I have over 100k in medical so far. Because of someone whom hit me and ran, none of this my fault but I'm sure paying the price..

Farmers is a big company to fight.. my atty works for a 1/3 of what he collects for me and get my medical paid, he may help with the auto....thank you.... Farmers would not send me the comps on my truck or show me how much the total amount is, seems a little shady to me and Farmers adjustor missed damage estimate by 4k, not sure how that happens... Believe it or not if you try to buy this truck in the 98445 zip, there are about two for sale and they have well over 150-220k miles are rusted Canada rigs as I live in Puyallup, Wa area and trucks are just high for good clean... The sale way above Kelly Blue book, I sold a 99 Gmc SL little over a yr ago which I regret for 9k with 140k miles to a man in Hillsboro, Oregon because of the condition. been looking for a clean trk since. but garage kept like mine, I use mobile 1, just like this 2003 SLE also had everything service and all fluids changed the day after I purchased and changed to mobile 1.... As you know you have to really crawl under a truck to see where and how its been cared for...any one can make a tire shine. The receipts are a good idea, but when I showed them the wheels and tires, they said its an after market add on and they do not cover unless listed... as only have the auto such a short time I said I just got the new policy with the form to add items. So I one the battle of one new tire as it is cut on the side wall..

You need to find out if it's actually fuel related by checking fuel pressure at rail. If pressure is ok then you know it's not the pump and take it from there

They should know if the fuel pump is running or not, especially if they're dealer mechanics. If pump is not turning on you might, as you mentioned, have a problem with the PATs. If it is running and you're not getting fuel pressure it might be something less obvious like the EVAP line being severed. I can't imagine it being anything mechanical that would keep the dealership this stumped, so it might very well be due to anti-theft sys esp. if aftermarket.

It's not an after market it is stock... I can hear a noise by the steering column near the base which was not there before it was hit, I think the mechanic I used was new, and it was short of up set with the auto, as it has to have the rear axel but back and the drive shaft, which has taken them two week, so I was on them today to get it done... Next week off to the body shop that I'm sure will have much better luck at....I was think there might be a relay/box or something for the alarm located dash or steering column that make a very strange sound, not a click, not a hiss, crackling maybe.. its not real loud as the key chain will you will not hear.. baffling...Thank you for all your answers... all is put back on the rear end, except for the new tire as the side wall is cut, but it hold air... can do later, Body shop fella was on his toes about everything.. The mechanic says it runs when they spray ? into the system from the engine compartment.... I'm not going back to that shop.... Thanks but if he really got it running than it is a fuel cut off problem or bad pump, as there is damage on the gas filler neck ....

damage can't see all cab goes under so does box..

full load of fuel just filled it up and she was looking good.
