Engine dies

97 gmc 1500 5.0 only runs when #3plug
wire is off, dies instantly when connected.
Just replaced cap, rotar, wires and plugs.

Double check your wire hook up at the cap. Find #1 and follow the firing order around the cap to make certain each cylinder is wired to the correct position on the cap.
