If you have the tools or have access to them (even loan-a-tool through auto parts stores) and are doing the work yourself, $2500 can go a long way. Ive found it's best to get a decent running enigine from an auto recyclers, rebuild it, take your time then swap engines. Youll generally be charged a core charge also which youll get back when you take your old motor back to them

If you need to ask that question then you shouldn't start , Now when you can tell me the difference between a right piston and a left piston is then you might be able to start a rebuild
